Giving your immune system a boost with smoothies is a fairly new fed that has taken up like a storm. Everyone is trying out new recipes, and for a good reason. Some of these smoothies have proven to be a better cure than meds.
One of the miraculous ingredients that makes a great smoothie which can be used against inflammation, and even to reduce and stabilize tumor growth is turmeric.
A common ingredient in Asian cuisine, turmeric has been used for centuries for other than its flavor. It has been known for centuries that turmeric is brilliant for fighting stomach ulcers, high cholesterol, and various skin conditions.
In order to avoid cooking an entire meal in order to consume turmeric, here’s a simple smoothie that takes only minutes to make:
Add to a blender:
- Ѕ teaspoon turmeric
- 1 cup of coconut milk
- 1 fresh banana
- Ѕ cup of pineapple
- Ѕ teaspoon of ginger
- 1 teaspoon of chia seeds
- Ѕ teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of maca powder
- A pinch of black pepper
Make sure you strain the coconut milk before adding to the blender. Pineapple should be frozen, and banana fresh. Grade fresh ginger instead of using ginger powder.
Mix everything, and you have a delicious, healthy smoothie which will help with inflammation, and many more issues.
